Travel by bus. Take the 216, 217, 231, 236, 237 from Piccadilly Gardens (Stand D) to City of Manchester Stadium (Rowsley Street stop). Journey time is around 10 - 15 minutes. Walk into The City of Manchester stadium, keep the football stadium on your right, and the athletics stadium on your left. Then keep the squash centre to your left and the football stadium behind you, until you see a bridge which crosses a tramline and a canal. Cross over the bridge, and you will see the tennis centre on your left.

Travel by tram. From Manchester city centre (Piccadilly Tram Station), take an Ashton-bound tram to the Eithad Campus stop. Walk away from the Manchester City football stadium, over the canal bridge, and you will see the tennis centre on your left. 




Arena Approach, Horwich, Bolton BL6 6LB




 Travel by train. From Manchester city centre, take train to Horwich Parkway; Bolton Arena is 2 minutes walk from here.


 Travel by car. From Manchester city centre, take M61, come off at Junction 6, follow signs to Middlebrook Retail Park (Arena is opposite Bolton Wanderers Football Stadium main entrance).

 Travel by bus. From Manchester City Centre take the X50 or 250 bus to Trafford Centre and walk from there (approx 10 minutes).

 Travel by carDavid Lloyd Manchester is located adjacent to the Trafford Centre, Chill Factore Ski Centre and Play Golf Driving Range just off the M60 at Junction 10. Head towards the Trafford Centre, take a left at the 1st major set of traffic lights and it is directly ahead of that.

Travel by train: 

Urmston train station is only a 10 minute train journey from Manchester city centre (from Manchester Oxford Rd), then 10 minute walk to tennis club. 


Travel by car.

The venue is located 5 minutes off Junction 10 of the M60.  Simply follow the signs for Trafford General Hospital until you arrive at the T-junction on Moorside road.  The tennis club is then facing you. 




The Group usually books 3 or 4 courts on Saturdays and/or Sundays. Additional courts may be booked dependent upon court availability and attendance to sessions.

Over the summer months, some courts are booked outside, but generally the sessions are held indoors. Most of the play is doubles, which takes priority; singles is played when spare court capacity is available. Northern Aces provides tennis balls, but please bring your own racquet.
